This is really just a scrap; it's a work in progress. One of those 10-minute convention table sketches. I'll move it, really I will.

India ink with brush and paper towels, and ballpoint, with some pencil left in there for good measure. On a sketchbook page of crappy paper. I hadn't broken out the white-out pen yet...

Yeah; I probably will this weekend at SPACE while I'm sitting around. But I don't like his face; I still can't capture his Bowie-ness. I'm working up to it...

While David Bowie did play the voices of all the muppets that sang in that movie, he should have just played every single one of the characters. But unfortunately, the technology to do that wasn't as easily available at the time of this filming. Which is why they should remake it, with David Bowie playing everybody!!!

Maybe bebop or ragtime tell a story too, these old records are coolest of the new. Sugar puts on a show and she sings a song, if we hear a noise we'll put our clothes back on.

Ah yes... capturing the Bowie-ness is a challenge. (but such a rewarding one...! ^^; ) You've actually got it pretty right in his lower face, it's the eyes that are off--a bit big, and Bowie's upper eyelid doesn't show, his eyes are kind of deep set.
... *sigh* You can tell I'm familiar with the subject, can't you?
