Updates for the season!
INKTOBER
I've been threatening to do this "inktober" thing for a long time, so I think this will be the year. You can see the early entries showing up in my gallery now. I've seen the "Drawloween" list going around, but I looked at than and said "you know... I would just get bored with that stuff". Since I was having a conversation with my wife yesterday about Pulp Fiction, I figured that a Tarantino theme would keep me interested, so every day in October will feature another QT favorite. I'm not really taking "requests" per se, but I do appreciate suggestions, and you might see it happen if it's something I haven't considered yet. So let's hear it! The plan is to make a chapbook available once the series is done; we'll see how it turns out!
I'm also posting them nightly on Instagram and Twitter, if you care to follow along there!
APPEARANCES
Only one in October - I'll be spending Halloween Comicfest at Hazel's Heroes and More. So all of you around northeast Ohio/western Pennsylvania and parts nearby, I would love to meet you! Hazel's is located at 1664 North Main Street, North Canton, Ohio, very close to Akron, Cleveland and Youngstown.
The following weekend, November 7-8, I'll be back at Akron Comicon - which I LOVE. Very friendly, very affordable, just a terrific convention that keeps getting better each time. Again, I encourage anyone in the area to check it out! I'll be doing quick free sketches and cheap commissions, and I'll have copies of my latest comic Jim Shepard: Negotiate Nothing.
NEGOTIATE NOTHING
Speaking of Jim Shepard, the book has been getting some good press. Here's a few articles:
Popshifter
Dagger Zine
In Your Eyes (in Italian)
You can purchase copies directly from me if you happen to catch me at one of my appearances, or you can order directly from Nix Comics.

INKTOBER 2019 on your bookshelf - at last!
Wow - 2020's been a year, hasn't it? I normally have a book out in February or March that collects my previous Inktober efforts. I had every intention of doing the same thing this year, but... man, that didn't happen, did it? October came and went this year, and I had some comics work that I was doing, so I couldn't fit in an Inktober effort this year; I usually devote quite a lot of time and effort to it, so I didn't want to compromise that. Since I wasn't able to clear the slate ahead of time, I decided to take an Inktober break for 2020, after 5 straight years. I was finally able to find the time to complete the retrospective book project over Thanksgiving break - and JUST IN TIME for gift-giving season. I've tried to pull out all the stops this year, clocking in at 88 pages of content, behind-the-scenes sketches and warm-ups, a few commissions, bonus art, notes on tools & techniques, and even a proper introduction by prominent Muppet journalist Joe Hennes. Thanks, and Happy Holidays
Hey, a huge thanks to everyone who checked out my eBay auctions for Inktober. The results were far and away greater than I could have ever expected, and we've covered all the hospital bills!
I'm close to settling on a print option - PROBABLY right here through DeviantArt, once I update the source files with clean scans. In the meantime, if anyone has a particular request for a drawing they would like to purchase as a print, let me know and I'll add priority to those.
I have kind of begun the design process on the art book for this year's Inktober, but probably won't have anything to announce until after the new year, but be on the lookout f

Sesame Street 50th Anniversary
Sesame Street was a HUGE part of my childhood. I credit my early reading ability to it. So great to see the cast and crew of skilled artists and craftspeople still hard at work making things better for kids all over the world, even after 50 years. Here's to 50 more, CTW!
