This one kind of turned into a cross-hatch-a-palooza, but it kind of had to if I wanted to get the light right. I was never happy with the original drawing for this, so I had to go back at the end to make it work. So here's the unofficial day #32 of Inktober!

Thanks very much. This ended up being the very last piece from Inktober 17, so it summed up everything I learned and developed the entire month - light being one of the big ones.

Phewww! I can't help but thinking how tricky it'd be to achieve that sort of lightning with ink on paper, and you solved it in such a terrific way...! Beautiful drawing (as well as the whole series, great stuff!)

Thanks a lot! The lighting in the scene in the film was much more subtle than this; I pushed it pretty hard to get the contrast I wanted. But I'm sure you can relate - once you get going on it, you just have to keep pushing and pushing until it works.
